Starting on July 26, 2022, a total of 72,097.85 megahertz (MHz) of spectrum valued at least Rs 4.3 lakh crore would be put up for auction.
Several categories, including low (600 MHz, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, and 2300 MHz), medium (3300 MHz), and high, will be used for the auction (26 GHz).
According to news reports in the media, the government has ordered that if a company purchases spectrum, it must provide the service within six to twelve months. In order for them to launch the service within three to six months after buying the spectrum, several telecom providers have finished their preparations. There is a good chance that 5G service will be accessible by the end of this year in such a situation.
