One of my favorite freedom-fighters who influenced my student life was Utkalmani Pandit Gopbandhu Das. I have an infinite devotion to this Mahatma.
Gopabandhu’s birth and education: Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das was born on October 9, 1877, in the village of ‘Suando’ under the Satyavadi police station in Puri district. His father’s name was Daitari Das and his mother’s name was Swarnamayee Devi. From an early age, her mother-in-law, Gopabandhu, was celebrated with the love of widow Pucci Kamaladevi. His temporary education was conducted under the supervision of an observer. He later attended primary school. As a student, he became interested in patriotism and established himself as a freedom fighter.
Civil Servant Gopabandhu: F.A. After graduating with a BA, Gopabandhu became the headmaster of Nilgiri High School after completing his law education. So he took patriotism as a vow of life.
